All of the above.
Some people come because they want to get back to what they love. Others are looking to keep doing what they love. And some just want to do it better and more. This service supports all of that—by improving how your body moves, feels, and functions.
What makes this service unique starts with the foundation behind it:
Putting together big picture ideologies to help anybody in front of me instead of getting married to one system or one formula because that’s not reality.
What that starts with is the assessment. Your assessment guides both the assisted stretching and cascades into the programming and ensures each client is met where they're at. Once we've established where you're at we'll have a clear hierarchy of what matters most for your goals and capacity. PNF Assisted Stretching helps us influence soft-tissue limitations in real time, while your programming is designed to turn those gains into lasting improvements. You’ll not only feel the difference—you’ll understand why it matters. And that knowledge is what gives you the confidence to move forward with autonomy and clarity.
I use a stretching technique called PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) which improves muscle elasticity and has been shown to have a positive effect on active and passive range of motions. This technique is used in athletic and therapeutic settings to restore strength and functional range of motion. Assisted stretching offers a unique advantage you can’t get on your own. Being stretched by someone else allows your body to relax into a more parasympathetic state (rest and digest), making it easier for your nervous system to accept new ranges of motion as safe. But the benefit goes beyond flexibility. Being on the bench gives us a rare opportunity to see how your body truly functions—where you might be compensating, underutilizing key areas, or as a mode of recovery where you need it most. It’s where we can start to connect the dots and create change.
Movement will always be a balance of mobility & strength. Once we’ve influenced your tissues on the table, we reinforce that change. Your programming is built to help you own the new range we’ve created—developing the strength, control, and awareness needed to carry it into your daily life. That’s where real autonomy comes from.
Your first session is 50 minutes and is all about finding your starting point. We’ll begin with a conversation to learn how you move, what your day-to-day looks like, and what you’re hoping to get from this process. From there, we’ll guide you through a focused mobility assessment to understand how your body functions and where we can introduce the most positive change.
Then we’ll move to the bench for assisted stretching, where we’ll find an entry point—targeting areas we can positively impact today. You’ll leave with a clearer picture of how your body moves, a few key movements to support your goals, and a better sense of whether this service is the right fit for you.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move and be stretched in—think athletic wear like shorts, joggers, or leggings and a t-shirt. You don’t need to bring anything else—the rest is covered.
